Asus Eee PC 1005PE

$380.00 Released January, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:N450 system uses 20% less power than N270 system. Super long battery life of 12 hrs, all day computing. Solid build quality and materials for a budget netbook contrary to similar models offered by manufacturers such as Acer.

The Cons:No linux option (increases price). Keyboard is not anchored down or supported properly at certain spots, results in a strange typing feel. Does not really offer any performance improvements over the previous model.

The Asus Eee PC 1005 PE is the first netbook available to include the Intel Atom N450 CPU. This CPU features about the same performance standards and output as the previous generation of netbook CPUs, but uses about 20% less power, allowing for a longer battery life.
