Gateway LT2041u

$380.00 Released October, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Plenty of storage for most users, won't usually want to upgrade the HDD. Keyboard is comfortable to work with, nice response. Compact and light design, great to carry around.

The Cons:Touchpad is a little awkward and can get in the way as you type.

The Gateway LT2041u is a standard 10.1" netbook, part of the lower-end LT20 series. It is a step up from other LT20 models, with slightly improved CPU and memory specs, in addition to 250 GB of storage capacity and Windows 7 pre-installed.

It also features a 6-cell rather than 3-cell battery, doubling battery life, and adds support for Bluetooth and 802.11n Wi-Fi. Yet it remains a minor step down from the newer, Atom N450-equipped LT21-series models, which support 64-bit computing. The LT2041u also features a 5-in-1 card reader and built-in webcam. The LT2044u is identical except features a black finish.
