The Lenovo Classmate+ PC is a collaborative effort between Intel and Lenovo and what is a rebranded Intel Classmate PC with a Lenovo sticker on the back of the screen. Unavailable to the general consumer, these are part of a program launched by the two companies to deliver a suitable laptop to kids in grades K-8 and they have started with a shipment of 158,000 units to schools in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

They will only be sold in bulk to educational institutions with a projected 60 countries on the waiting list, while the first recipients are primarily in Latin America. The netbook features a 10.1" LED backlit display, Intel Atom processor, Windows 7 operating system and high-capacity 160GB or 250GB hard drive, and also the option to use a solid state drive of either 8GB or 16GB capacity. 1GB RAM is standard with the option to increase to 2GB, and connections include 3 USB ports, 4 in 1 card reader, LAN/Ethernet port and microphone/headphone jacks. Internal WiFi is provided by a half-sized 802.11b/g/n mini card and 1.3 mega pixel camera is included as well. Since it is based on the Intel Learning Series reference design, it will come pre-loaded with Intel Learning Series software.
