It is available with either the Windows XP operating system or Linux (although the Windows version will cost $100 more). The Wind Notebook has all the necessary features for easy WiFi, including a built-in ethernet port and built-in wireless 802.11 b/g support. One of the Wind's most defining features that will make it stand out from other ultraportable laptops is its 80GB SATA harddrive and ability to support up to 2GB of RAM.
December rumors point to a wide number of updates for the Wind at CES in January 2009. MSI has promised that a touchscreen Wind will be announced, and have stated that they are working on a larger 13.3" ultraportable, the U300.
